What tide is
Tide is a self-help mood journal designed to support people who want to notice their feelings more clearly. It is not a medical device. It is not a substitute for medical care, therapy, or crisis intervention.
If you are in crisis (having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, or feel unsafe), please stop and reach out to a crisis line or emergency service in your country. Tide is not a substitute for that help, and it should never be used in place of it.
Not medical advice
Content within tide, including prompts, breathing exercises, daily questions, and pattern observations, is for educational and self-reflection purposes only. Nothing in the app is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding decisions about your mental or physical health.
Your account
You don't create an account to use tide. There is no username, password, or login. Your data is identified only by your device.
Subscription
Tide is a paid app with a free trial. After the trial period ends, your subscription begins and you will be charged through your Apple ID at the rates shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on which plan you select.
- Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- You can cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will not be refunded for unused time.
- We do not offer refunds for partially used billing periods. Refund requests for billing errors should be made directly to Apple through your purchase history.
Price changes
If we change the price of tide, your existing subscription will continue at the price you currently pay until your subscription is cancelled or expires. Any price changes affect only new subscriptions.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- Use tide to provide medical, therapeutic, or counseling services to other people
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract proprietary content from the app
- Use tide if you are under 18 years old
Content you create
Anything you enter into tide (your why, your entries, your notes) belongs to you. We never see it, never claim ownership, never use it for any purpose. See our privacy policy.
Disclaimers
Tide is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular outcome for you. Noticing your feelings is your own work. The app is one tool among many you might use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify users through an in-app message for material changes.
Termination
You can stop using tide at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Leeuwarden.
