About tide.

Tide is built by Thijs Hiemstra, an independent developer based in the Netherlands. It's a one-person operation. No team, no investors, no growth targets to hit.

Tide exists because most mood-tracking apps treat your feelings like a database to populate. Pick from 40 emojis. Tag with categories. Watch the dashboard light up. That's fine for some people. It also misses something: the part where you write a line, in your own words, and read it again a month later and remember the Wednesday.

The app does a few things well and doesn't try to do more. You write an entry in under three minutes. You can read it again, in a quiet timeline. When a feeling spikes, the Tough moment tool walks you through 90 seconds of breath and grounding. It does not ping you. It does not ask you to share anything. It does not collect your data. None of your entries leave your phone.
